Land Judging / Agri Science Day Each year the Huron and Tuscola CDs host a Land Judging/Agri Science Day.  Awards are presented to the schools that participate from Huron County at the Annual Open House held in January.  The top team (combined total of top three scores) receives a plaque and cash award for their FFA chapter.  Top students from each of the participating schools receive a trophy and cash a award.

 

 

Storm Drain Stenciling Students from the Environmental Conservation class from USA High School also helped stencil storm drains in the Village of Sebewaing as part of the Sebewaing River Watershed project.
Benthic Study As part of the Sebewaing River Watershed Project the Districts performed benthic studies with students from the Environmental Conservation class from USA High School. 

       

Project R.E.D. Since it began, the District has participated in Project    R. E.D. (Rural Education Day) sponsored by Farm Bureau.  Third grade students from schools throughout the county meet at the fairgrounds and go to different stations set up to learn about different aspects of agriculture. 

Poster Contest Students from schools throughout Huron County participate in the annual poster contest.  Each students receives a certificate of participation, and the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th place winners in each of the four divisions receives a framed certificate and cash award.  The 1st place winner is each division is entered in the state competition.  Winners on the state level are announced in December.
